Dr. Patricia Ames

D. in Anthropology of Education from the University of London, Patricia Ames is Senior Lecturer in Anthropology, Department of Social Sciences at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and President of the Center for Social, Economic, Political and Anthropological Research - CISEPA of the same university. She co-coordinates the Clacso Education and Interculturality Working Group. Her research focuses on issues related to rural education, gender equity in education, diversity of childhood and educational trajectories of Peruvian youth and children, which she approaches from qualitative, ethnographic and participatory methodologies. Her current research focuses on indigenous youth and equity in access to higher education.
