The Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, in collaboration with the International Federation of Catholic Universities (FIUC), invites the research community to participate in the International Congress "Migrations, Conflict, Women and Youth - Care for the Common Home". This face-to-face event proposes a space for critical dialogue and interdisciplinary reflection, articulating academic, pastoral and citizen contributions around the challenges of human mobility, social inequalities and ethical commitment to our environment.

During three days, the activities will combine keynote lectures, thematic roundtables with selected papers, coffee breaks and networking spaces to foster new alliances and learning. The conference will be held daily from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., taking advantage of the modern auditoriums and facilities of the PUCP campus.

Researchers from all related disciplines are invited to present papers in the following lines of research, which cover the four central axes of the congress:

  • Migrations: mobility in times of crisis; social and economic inequalities; climate change as a factor of displacement; global governance and transnational communities.
  • Conflict: dynamics of forced mobility in contexts of violence; mobility and human rights.
  • Women: identity and discrimination of migrant women and daughters of migrants; reflexivity of gender-mobility categories‍.
  • Youth: trajectories of "second-generation youth"; educational policies for young migrants
